221011 Early Birthday Celebration with Sis

It's Saturday and it's sister's day. ^_^
And llm is celebrating early for my birthday today, yay~!!!
Haha, my llm always complaint that I am very hard to book and my schedule is always full with activities. She joked that she need to make appointment half year in advance in order to hang out with me. LOL. =P
Hehehe, actually it's just that sometimes activities have been arranged and that's why need to plan ahead. =P I actually love to plan ahead and have things planned out rather than wait for what's next. ^_^

On the way to meet sis at Matsuki
We had our lunch in Matsuki, the regular Japanese restaurant that we will always go to as the Teriyaki Chicken Set is nice and yummy (because of the sweet sauce) and the price is worth it. For RM12, you get a set with salad, Miso Soup, Chawanmushi (can exhcange for Potato Salad), Teriyaki Chicken with rice and also one scoop of Haegen Dazz ice cream during lunch. ^_^

Happy face... yum yum

Our regular set, same same Teriyaki Chicken Set

Free Haegen Dazz ice cream - this time it's green tea and red bean

After makan makan, we went to Gurney for some shopping as I wanted to see if there's anything to get from Padini so that I can utilize the 30% Birthday Voucher. But it looks like there's nothing of interest at the moment, so we decided not to get anything there. Then do some shopping in Parkson as it was my birthday month, Elite Card members have the special offer: For the first RM100 spend on Elite card, you will get RM50 Elite points credited into your card. That's like a 50% rebate I guess. For normal days, Elite card members do have a 5% rebate on all the purchases in Parkson Gurney.

We also had our soya pudding from Soya Soya, using coupons which sis bought from website. ^_^

Lychee Soya Pudding - I need to put a lot of black sugar to cover the soya taste

Our movie was at 4.15pm in TGV, 1st Avenue, so we drove to 1st Avenue and grab our pop corn combo set. It was sis's treat as she has purchased the Groupon voucher for this movie. (http://www.groupon.my/deals/national-deal/walt-disney-studio-malaysia/715872768)

Watching The Lion King in 3D actually doesn't really has the 3D effects, maybe I'm not good at spotting/feel the 3D effect. But overall this movie is a nice movie to watch because it brings back the good old days memories where my mum used to bring us both to cinema to watch this movie together. I miss my mum. Missing the happy moments spend together with her. Hope that she's good in another world now, or people used to say reborn into a new life already?

Movie tickets - 3D  ^_^

After movie, we were suppose to go for a Mani Pedi service which sis had make appointment at 6.30pm. But when sis called to the shop, the gal told her that they record her appointment as 3.30pm and that all their staff have left home. It's funny because my sis is a meticulous person. She will double confirm her appointment de. And they should have called us if we didn't show up at 3.30pm right. Nvm... Anyway, with the extra time that we have now, we decided to go to Tesco @ Tanjung Pinang.

Haha, go jalan-jalan and then had our dinner there. We selected Hakka Tree and ordered the set for 2-3 pax. Their chilly taste nice and overall we are satisfied with the food. Would recommend others to come and have a try. ^_^

The only pic with sis, she's camera shy, hahaha

We walked back to our car in car park and the first thing my sis saw was "Siew Keong"... omg, the one that has been hiding for the past month since Kulim.... scary scary. It went into its hiding place again, somewhere we can't find and we have no choice but to quickly drive back home. During the journey home, my heart beats fast like something uneasy was gonna happen. Out of a sudden, I felt something flying on the right hand side and immediately I scream. I accidentally steered my car to the left and luckily there's no car beside me. I quickly make a left turn and park my car beside Majlis Perbandaran Pulau Pinang. I came down from the car but can't find this little creature. Sis says quickly drive back home better. Mmm... I put on a brave face and quickly drive back home, maybe speed a little faster than usual. Once reach home, quickly come out of the car and walk back home. The feeling is eery...

This Siu Keong always makes me freak out
Overall it was a fun day hanging out with sis with all expense covered by her, hahaha...and it is tiring as well that I dozed off early and didn't pick up my dear's call. He called me for 9 times when I saw it the next morning... =P

Eong Chen's 26th Birthday Celebration

Prior to his birthday, I started to google cupcakes website and contacts online to order and customize a cupcakes as a birthday cake for him as it is quite special and nice. Finally, found this website, http://www.emmagem.com/2008/04/08/malaysias-online-cupcake-store-directory/ that contains a directory listing of all cupcakes in Malaysia. There are 2 websites listed under Penang region and another one which I got the website from my friend.
After doing some survey and self assesment, contacted Cupcakes4you to check the availability regarding order and design. Got a fast reply from Joosing and Poh Yit and they suggested a few ideas to me. Finally, decided to order from them and selected the 49 mini cupcakes type. As the design is unique and based on their creativity, I won't be able to know how it will actually look like. But based on all their previous design, I'm happy with their design and let them to put their thinking cap on the design. ^_^

So, today (4th October 2008), with a map in hand, I started to drive to the collection address in Barrack Road. The map is easy to understand and the location is easy to find.
Happily driving to collect the cupcakes. ^_^

When I arrive at the house, as I'm alone, Joosing suggested that I put the cupcakes under the car seat and ask me to drive carefully as the cupcakes are quite fragile... Well, it's better to bring along a friend to help you carry the cupcakes as even though I'm quite careful and drive quite slow, one of the cupcake do fell on another cupcake.

Notice that the "IR" word is a bit "cacat" and the white schnauzer ear got some purple cream on it.
I'm very happy with the design as the 4 schnauzer are very very cute. These 4 schnauzhers are my bf's pets (although Xiao Bai already RIP). And Cupcakes4you also post up the photos as well. Check it out at http://cupcakes4you.blogspot.com/2008/10/pictures4you.html.

Snauzher (Mummy)
Mimi (Daughter)
Jojo (Son in law)
First stop, drive to his office to give him a surprise.

After that, we went back his house to show his mum the cupcakes and capture some photos.
Next: Lucky draw session
This year, I'm giving him to actually pick up lucky draw item for his birthday. I pre-decided some of the birthday gifts ideas and put each and everyone into a single envelope.

The lists are:
  1. Sunglass
  2. Batman Lego Car Model
  3. Seiko Limited Edition Watch
  4. 32" LCD TV
  5. Angpow RM10
  6. Angpow RM500
  7. Angpow RM1000
  8. A complete dressover

Well, I actually bought him a sunglass (which he likes) and also decided to give him a gift which he selected from the lucky draw. Rules of the game is simple. He will pick an envelope without knowing what's inside. I will open up the envelope, look at the gift, and then counter offer him cash money in return to buy his envelope. I will also allow him to select whether does he want to get the prize inside the envelope, or to change to another envelope.

For the first round, he picked up an envelope which contains a Watch. After some round of negotiating for the envelope, he decided to change to another envelope. This time, he picked up the grand prize of 32" LCD TV. I guess he knows it already as he say he wanted what's inside the envelope. So, finally he WON this 32" LCD TV as his birthday gift!!! Nevertheless, I still give him the sunglass as an additional birthday gift as the TV will only be shipped to him when his new house is ready. ^_^

See how happy he looks with his sunglass and holding the lucky draw item.
After the prize giving thingy, we went to Queensbay Mall to have lunch. He says he prefer to eat Chinese food, so we head over to Wongkok Restaurant. We ordered Hokkien Fried Rice, BBQ Pork Chop Noodle, Butter Bun, Crispy Egg Tart, Longan Winter Melon and Ice Ying Yong Tea.

Finish our lunch and walk around QB, then we drove to SP Setia to see their Show Village. They have many types show room design and type. Among some of the design displayed:

Dinner time, lazy to go out eat. So we just go "ta pao" Marrybrown.

Coming soon... ** My birthday...
