Great time to spend with friends and family.

Food Hunt: Zi Zai Restaurant 自在饭店 @ Paya Terubong, Penang

Inspired by my friend Dave who showed us his blog about heritage food hunt yesterday during dinner, jokingly I told him that I will cover for Paya Terubong area. I guess this will be the first post about food in Paya Terubong area, hopefully not the last. =P

Until end of this month (31st October 2013), they are celebrating their 4th anniversary and promotion of 1 person 1 free drink.

There's 5 of us on that day, so we ordered some of their famous dishes recommended. My friend wanted to try something like kimchi, but was told that need to pre-order. Overall those dishes that we ordered are considered normal with reasonable price. But we felt that the lala served on that day were a bit too small but taste is good. Nevertheless, the sweet and sour chicken dish reminds me of my mum's cooking.

Till 70 years old

This is something that I've always wished for, to be able to grow old together with someone I loved and when we reach 70 years old, still holding hand together and go to watch movie.

Before It's Too Late

It reminds me of my course mates, whose husband past away less than a year after marriage due to sickness.  I can see she always posts about him and how he came into her dream. It is very sad to see this kind of situation, two person who loves each other have to be separated.

Life is really unpredictable, sometimes, we spend time arguing with our loved ones, causing hurts and sadness. But when they are really gone, we no longer can argue with them anymore. I hope everyone will be able to find their own happiness and I also can find someone who really cares for me. I don't want to be the one regret if this happens.

Treasure everyone who are nice to us and be thankful for still be able to feel it.

There was a man who loved his wife very much. The couple had 3 children.
He could give her everything he could but the woman never appreciated.
Though the man was not rich, but he could share all he had with her.
 He could buy for her clothes and the only thing his wife could say was that the husband was fulfilling his duty as a Man.
The man would buy a dress but in reply, the woman would mock at him, because the dress was of low quality.
The man could smile at his wife and tell her "one day, I will become rich and I will buy for you all the expensive things you need"
The woman could never make any phone call unless she was requesting anything from her husband and once her request was not granted, all she could do was to quarrel for days, sometimes fight.

One evening, the man was coming from work, he bought a Kilogram of meat, happily the poor man expecting to surprise his wife, he reached home found the wife and showed her the package,
Then she shouted: "eh! And you call yourself a man? Which husband, apart from you, do you think comes home with just one kilograme, no cooking oil, no anyother ingredients? You better leave it, ur a good-for-nothing husband."
Then she threw the meat to the bush and went back home. The Husband felt low but he never let down his love for her.
One day, the husband felt pain in his left foot, then a Tumour appeared on the foot, it then emerged growing big and more painful.
He went to the hospital after several months of pain and was found with cancer, he was poor to have a better medical care.
Though he was sick he tried much as he could to provide for his family. Two years later the condition worsened and he was put in the special care unit, he was operated and the foot was removed, but unfortunately it was too late, the Virus had affected more parts of the body and at last he called his wife and told him,

"LOOK AFTER MY CHILDREN, i feel i can't live any longer though i'll always be with you in spirit, may God be with you"
He then breathed his last and died.
The woman, and three children cried, for days mourning, they buried him.
Two months later, the wife was bowing down on her husbands grave as she said these words: "My love, you did all the best to me, you treated me well and gave me all you could, but all i could pay you, was endless quarrels and fights. I never realised your importance and your love until when you are gone, when am the one to provide food, clothing, education and many others.
I remember when i threw your one Kilogram of meat to the bush, but now i have nowhere to get even a Half a Kilo

A husband whom i could mock at but you only smiled at me.
The husband who could care and had unending love.
I know you are listening to me and i ask you to forgive me for not appreciating all you did to me, when you were alive.

Life Lessons 

I’ve learned that you cannot make someone love you. All you can do is be someone who can be loved. The rest is up to them. 

I’ve learned that no matter how much I care some people just don’t care back.

I’ve learned that just because someone doesn’t love you the way you want them to doesn’t mean they don’t love you with all they have.

I’ve learned that it takes years to build up trust, and only seconds to destroy it.

I’ve learned that it’s not what you have in your life, but whom you have in your life that counts.

I’ve learned that our background and circumstances may have influenced who we are, but we are responsible for who we become. 

I’ve learned that we are responsible for what we do, no matter how we feel.

I’ve learned that sometimes when I’m angry I have the right to be angry, but that doesn’t give me the right to be cruel. 

I’ve learned that maturity has more to do with what types of experiences you’ve had and what you’ve learned from them and less to do with how many birthdays you’ve celebrated. 

I’ve learned that two people can look at the exact same thing and see something totally different. 

I’ve learned that no matter how good a friend is, they’re going to hurt you every once in a while and you must forgive them for that.

I’ve learned that you should never tell a child their dreams are unlikely or outlandish. Few things are more humiliating, and what a tragedy it would be if they believed it.

I’ve learned that heroes are people who do what has to be done when it needs to be done, regardless of the consequences.

Happy Valentines Day everyone.
This year's V-day falls on the 5th of Chinese New Year and I guess most of the people are still on holiday.
Nevertheless, I'm already back in the office and guess I'm the one who stayed the latest in the office.
Felt a little bit lonely at that time... Kept thinking myself why I don't have someone to celebrate this special day with me. Anyway, the moody side of me goes away quickly after a while.

And, tada... I received a belated Valentine gift, it's Royce chocolate.
It's nicely packed in the red packing with lovely ribbon.
Oh my, I'm loving it. But I need to finish it soon as usually it is only fresh for 1 months+.

Happy Chinese New Year... Ulala

It's the day of the year, the most celebrated festival for Chinese. ^_^
Chinese New Year (CNY), also known as the Spring Festival or the Lunar New Year, is the most important festival for the Chinese in many East Asian countries. This is the time where every members of the families will go back to their home for family gatherings, reunion dinners, gift giving (or angpow giving), clean up and decorates their house to bring good luck and celebrating the coming of spring.

As years goes by, I'm starting to less like Chinese New Year due to the popular regular questions that brought up by relatives...

• When want to get married?
• When want to bring partner home?
• This year is the last year of getting angpow, next year must start to give already ar..

But nevertheless, I still enjoy very much the public holiday seasons and the free leaves that are given. It's the time where we (those single) collect angpow and also visiting relatives together with our family.

I'm still in my CNY mood... but back to office work on the 4th of Chinese New Year (and it's a Wednesday, 13/2/2013). Tomorrow will be Valentines day, and guess that will be another single day for me celebrating.
